What is raw denim? The term describes: raw, untreated jeans. Unlike most of the jeans we can buy in stores and online these days, no one bothered to wash out the indigo dye or rip holes in these pants. It is therefore up to the wearer to rub off the color particles through regular wear. This creates a completely individual, personal piece of clothing. However, there is much more to raw denim than just individuality. In the book »TRUE BLUE« I expressed my fascination for these stiff, deep blue trousers, captured it with a brush and camera and talked about it with a wide range of people.
